Seckford Agencies was founded by Pippa Woods in 1999 and over the past nine years we have built an enviable portfolio of high quality producers and a successful business selling to the UK Independent sector.
The recent addition of progressive new Californian producer Scotto Family Wines to our portfolio now enables us to offer a comprehensive range of wines from all of the major New World producing countries of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Argentina and USA. Our strategy has always been to supply wines exclusively from the New World and this has enabled us to develop a high level of expertise in this sector. As we represent the Argentine and Chilean wines from O Fournier the one exception to this strategy has been the addition of their Ribera del Duero portfolio – the wines were just too good to turn down!
Our aim is to provide our customers with top quality, competitive and exciting wines in all price brackets. Equally important to us is to consistently deliver a high level of service, reliability and a proactive “can-do” mentality. Our ambitious plans for the future will ensure we continue to demonstrate creativity, flexibility, expertise….. and a tremendous passion for New World wines.

Pippa started Seckford back in 1999 and juggles managing a busy company with managing two teenage sons - she’s not sure which represents the greater challenge! On the rare occasions she does get some time to herself, Pippa finds a few rounds of kick-boxing or a couple of hours on her mini-digger the perfect antidotes to a stressful day in the wine trade!

The newest recruit to the Seckford team, Mark spent many years working as a buyer for Safeway, Somerfield and Thresher. He is also our in-house photographer and keenly snaps photos from his wineland travels for our website. He’s an enthusiastic guitarist and has a passion for surfing but is forever complaining that he no longer gets time for either pursuit since the arrival of his two small daughters!

David is approaching his twentieth anniversary in the UK wine industry and combines a wealth of experience with a tremendous passion for the product. He’s sold pretty much everything from first growths to own label but now thrives on the great New World wines in the Seckford portfolio! The only thing David likes better than being out on the road is being out on the water. He’s a keen sailor and claims to be a better surfer than his eleven year old son. Er…right David.

Sue has been working in the UK wine trade for longer than any of us and has a thorough and detailed knowledge of our customers businesses built over many years selling to them. She divides her time between her homes in Sussex and the French Alps and when she’s not busy selling wine, she makes a dash for the Alps to indulge her passion for skiing.

Meg has been managing the ordering and shipping of our wines since 2000 and has a fantastic knowledge of all aspects of importing wine into the UK. She is also the project manager and design brain behind our London International Wine Fair presence every year. Meg cycles the 8 miles to the office every day and has a fitness level which puts the rest of us to shame. When not cycling or ordering, she enjoys climbing mountains and singing, but not necessarily at the same time.

Julie is our marketing guru and the key point of contact for the wine trade media. She organises the entry of our wines into trade competitions, project manages the ever growing number of trade tastings and juggles the itineraries of our supplier visits. To relax, Julie cultivates a fully biodynamic vegetable garden and once walked a large portion of the Great Wall of China!
