In the late 1930s, Benjamin George Lee Killerby established a general store in Margaret River to supply the early pioneers in South Western Australia. In 1973, his grandson, Dr Benjamin Barry Killerby, established one of the first vineyards in the Geographe region. Since its establishment in 1973, Killerby has grown to be one of Western Australia’s leading small wineries, with a reputation for producing an outstanding range of varietal wines. Hollick Wines is a small family owned winery in Coonawarra, in South Eastern South Australia. Ian and Wendy Hollick purchased a piece of grazing land on the southern end of the Coonawarra district in 1974.
