Indaba
Indaba is the Zulu word for "a meeting of the minds", or a traditional gathering of tribal leaders for sharing ideas. Sourced from regions including Stellenbosch, Paarl, Durbanville and Robertson, Indaba wines have seen a steady rise in quality since Raats came on board in 2008. The Indaba brand, comprised of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Shiraz, is owned by New York-based Cape Classics and was first launched in the US in 1996, shortly after South Africa transitioned to a democratic republic. While the US remains the largest market for Indaba, the wines are also available in South Africa and in the UK.
