Mollydooker
In 2005 Sarah and Sparky Marquis's ultimate dream came true: they began to develop their own label - Mollydooker - an Aussie term for left-hander, which describes both Sarah and Sparky! In 2007 they bought a new winery in McLaren Vale with 116 acres of prime vineyards. It is here they are now making the handcrafted wines for which they are famous. The team motto is 'We make wines which make people go WOW, through attention to detail and commitment to excellence'. Their belief is that the quality of the wine is determined in the vineyard. They have their own unique water and canopy management programme which helps the vines to produce ultra premium grapes.

Sarah and Sparky Marquis are two of Australia's leading viticulturists and winemakers. They met while studying winemaking in 1987 and first made wine together in 1994 with Sarah's parents under the Fox Creek label. They built five successful brands in the last 10 years - Henry's Drive, Parson's Flat, Marquis Philips and Shrivington. They achieved fantastic accolades for these wines including winning Australian Winemakers of the Year in 2000, McClaren Vale Bushing King and Queen in 1995, 1998 and 2002, a string of top Parker and Spectator scores, Robert Parker's Wine Personalities of the Year in 2002 and World Cooperage Celebrated Winemakers in 2006.
The winery is located in McLaren Vale about 45 minutes outside Adelaide.
The vineyard is 116 acres of what they believe to be absolute prime McLaren Vale vineyards and is on the same region of land as some of McLaren Vale's most famous wines including D'Arenburg Dead Arm, Kay's Block Six Shiraz, Chapel Hill Reserve Shiraz, Mollydooker Carnival of Love, And Mollydooker Velvet Glove. The vineyard is currently just under 50% Shiraz and the rest is made up of Cabernet, Merlot, Semillon and Chardonnay.
