Our Wines
NV Tawny

Tasting Note:
There were simply not enough grapes in 2007 to produce a V.P. Luckily, squirreling away a barrel of fortified each year now enables us to release this Tawny, our first in 4 years! The wine is tawny brown in colour after spending an average of 15 years in barrel, the nose is full of nutty, caramel and fig jam characters. The palate is just lovely and the reason why good Tawny is so special. Sweet toffee, roasted hazelnuts and almond biscuits, along with dessicated coconut, golden syrup and dried apricots are the main flavours, persisting for a good 60 seconds after swallowing. Nothing could be finer with good walnuts or quality dried fruit cake. Also an absolute pleasure served cold from the fridge as an aperitif. Drink now.Analysis
