2007 Shiraz
Tasting Note:
The rich, savoury character of Shiraz is enhanced by Viognier, adding an aromatic dimension to the wine. Mourvèdre component brings an amount of wild berry & spice to this blend. Earth, pepper-spice and hints of dark chocolate support the richness of ripe fruit. Due to the accessible tannin structure, this wine will complement a variety of fine dishes.Independents Note:
The nose has an attractive purity that can be found on the fresher red fruits. Peppery spices intermingle with the fruit on the palate all helping complexity. Although towards the back is seems very black fruit dominated, lighter reds are there playing their part refreshing the richness. 91 pts. Derek Smedley MWGrapes:

Shiraz and some of the Viognier grapes were crushed together. An array of small batches were
fermented & treated separately. Different parcels were blended after 9 months. The difference in treatments and careful blending make this a very interesting & complex wine!
