The estate's Shiraz comes from unirrigated vineyards in the Bottelary Hills district of Stellenbosch.

Deep purple core, with a ruby rim. The wine opens with sweet floral perfumes, developing further to reveal wild bramble, mulberry, spicy rhubarb and liquorice. The palate is generous and juicy, focused and elegant, with harmonious, well-integrated oak, and a long finish.

Vinification details

Grapes were picked at full ripeness (25ºB) and transported to the winery before being destalked and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Pumping over was done four times a day before it was lightly pressed. Malolactic fermentation took place in the tank followed by maturation in French oak barrels for 24 months, of which 50% was new oak.
