Tasting note
The Glass Collection Syrah has a wonderful bright and rich colour with deep purple undertones. Aromas of leafiness, spice, and delicate rose petals are supported by the presence of pristine red berry fruits. The medium-bodied and balanced palate showcases, fine-grained tannins with a subtle infusion of white pepper and clove, all coming together harmoniously.
Vintage conditions
Following the 2021 harvest, the weather turned cooler and drier, prolonging the leaf cycle compared to usual seasons. Bud break occurred evenly but was delayed by seven days compared to the previous vintage. Spring saw persistent low temperatures, causing flowering to be postponed by around 10 days. Substantial rainfall during this period presented challenges to flowering and berry set. Despite these hurdles, moderate temperatures in early summer facilitated balanced vine growth. January and February witnessed a prolonged dry and hot weather spell, featuring intermittent heat waves. Ripening did not accelerate significantly despite the heat spikes during this period. While yields were modest, the resulting wines is of exceptional quality, careful timing during picking to preserve freshness was everything for this vintage.
Vinification details
A combination of whole cluster, destemmed and submerged cap
fermentations were used. The percentage of each dependant on the vintage and how each block is presenting during harvest. All tanks ferment naturally, with a maximum of 2 pump-overs per day. The wine was left on the skins for 1-3 weeks after fermentation. Maturation took place in well-seasoned 500L French oak barrels, mostly 5th and 6th use, for a duration of 12 months

Tasting note
The Glass Collection Syrah has a wonderful bright and rich colour with deep purple undertones. The aromatics of the wine are an intriguing mixture of both floral tones with spicy fruit. The palate expresses white pepper spice, spicy plum and dark berry all supported by a fine velvety texture.
Vintage conditions
An exceptionally warm and dry spring resulted in good and even bud burst. The temperatures during the flowering and berry set period were average, with significantly less fluctuations than in the previous years. Good rainfall measured at around 100 mm towards the end of October was crucial to replenish the dry soil profiles and led to stress -free flowering and berry set. The moderate elements during the growing season as well as the seasonal rainfall at the start of the 2020 harvest, laid the foundation for a good harvest. Effective canopies promoted ripening in the early varietals, showing good acidity and sugar levels and thus harvested earlier than usual. Sustained, moderate temperatures occurred until the end of March and resulted in effective plant functioning and full maturity in late varietals, leading to great concentrations, structure, and desired alcohol levels. The early cultivars were therefore harvested much earlier.
Vinification details
The bunches were sorted and placed whole into the tanks to slowly start fermenting naturally, with two to three pump overs a day taking place. Post fermentation, they were given three weeks extended skin contact before being taken down to used French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. The wine stayed in the barrels for twelve months.

Vintage conditions
Post-harvest, due to limited water, leaf fall occurred earlier than usual. Winter only cooled off later with higher than usual temperatures and only 80% of expected winter rain fell. A warm spring simulated early cultivars to have even and fast bud burst, shoot growth varied due to temperature fluctuations which lead to faster suckering and above average rainfall during flowering and berry set lead to unevenness between berries and bunches. Night-time temperatures were cooler during ripening, leading to good colour and flavour. Harvest started later but sped up mid-season and slowed later due to rain showers. 13 February brought a large hail fall, but fortunately damage was limited. A challenging and small harvest but the wines will prevail.

Tasting note
Alluring aromas of floral notes and plum with hints of spicy fruit. The palate expresses white pepper spice, spicy plum and dark berries with a long, fresh finish.
Vintage conditions
Winter was late, but cold enough to break dormancy. Very low rainfall led to extremely low soil moisture levels which meant that irrigation was key to relieving stress in the vineyard. A good spring led to good and even bud burst thanks to warm weather for the season with little to no rain. Although there were more bunches, the berries were smaller. The harvest was earlier than normal and larger than the previous year.

Tasting note
The Glass Collection Syrah draws its inspiration from the northern Rhône. Juicy and fresh, with tasty plum and raspberry coulis notes racing through, lined with subtle black tea and graphite notes. Shows a pretty flash of spice through the finish with hints of jasmine.
Vintage conditions
Winter was late, but cold enough to break dormancy. The low rainfall led to low soil moisture levels which in turn created stress later in the season. An ideal spring led to good even bud burst, with warm weather from end-October to end-January. This resulted in restricted growth, smaller berries and lower bunch mass. Harvest was a week earlier than normal and smaller than in previous years.
