Vintage conditions

The 2020 harvest in Heathcote was a depiction of perfection with a long cool spring, and decent rain provided great health through the vineyard. The crops were light but super intense with the summer months hot and very dry, producing outstanding quality of fruit.

Vinification details

The fruit was selectively harvested on March 2nd, crushed to a small closed fermenter and pumped over daily. The wine was then pressed and matured in 40% new and 60% older French oak barriques for 18 months prior to bottling.

Vintage conditions

The 2018 harvest in Heathcote was a depiction of perfection with a long cool spring, and decent rain provided great health through the vineyard. The crops were light but super intense with the summer months hot and very dry, producing outstanding quality of fruit.

Vinification details

The fruit was selectively harvested on 26th February, crushed to a small closed fermenter and pumped over daily with a cool, long fermentation using a Syrah yeast strain. Extended time on skins allowed the tannins to soften and balance with the primary fruit, about 3 weeks in total. The wine was then pressed and matured in 40% new and 60% older French oak barriques for 18 months prior to bottling
