Tasting note
Expressive on the nose, with ripe damson plums, cherries and soft nutmeg spice. Refined, mouth-coating tannins balance well with rich fruit flavours of plum and raspberry coulis. Notes of molasses and roasted thyme create complexity.
Vinification details
This Merlot was vinified in a combination of open and closed top stainless steel fermenters to preserve the fresh fruit flavours. After fermentation the wine was transferred to seasoned French oak barrels for a further 6 months.

Bold red fruit on the nose, cranberry and pomegranate with thyme. Juicy combination of fig, red currant and black plums on the palate balances with savoury flavours of tobacco, cedar, and liquorice. Soft, silky tannins with a medium body and hints of milk chocolate on the finish.

Bold black and red fruit on the nose with cassis, juicy plum, purple figs and bramble. Soft ripe fruity flavours follow on the palate with attractive vanilla, liquorice, and velvety tannins. Medium bodied with a gentle savoury finish.

The red fruit and herbaceous aromas excite the nose on first impression, followed by secondary aromas of tobacco, fresh cherries and slight hint of leather. The fresh, ripe red fruit flavours of strawberries and redcurrants are supported by soft, discreet tannins which create a well-balanced, elegant Merlot with a round, juicy finish.
Vinification details
The wine was fermented in a combination of open (punch down) and closed fermentors (pump over). Maturation occurred in second- and third- fill 300 litre French oak barrels for 6 months.
